Private Music Lesson Scholarships
Music lessons are often out of reach for students facing financial hardship, but we’re changing that.
Our Private Lesson Scholarship Program provides direct financial assistance for private music lessons. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and cover up to $35.00 per 30-minute lesson, ensuring that students can learn without financial barriers, and instructors are compensated fairly for their time and talent.
This creates a sustainable model where quality music education is accessible to all without placing the burden on educators or stigmatizing students based on their socioeconomic status.
To serve students at every stage of their musical journey, we offer scholarships in three age-based categories:
Allegro – Elementary School (Grades K–5)
Presto – Middle School (Grades 6–8)
Vivace – High School & Beyond (Grades 9–14)
Whether it's a first piano lesson or advanced audition prep, our goal is to open doors, and keep them open, for students passionate about learning and growing through music.
The Fall 2025 scholarship application closed on 7/1, and scholarships will be awarded for Fall 2025.

Jay: Finding His Voice Through Music
Jay began private voice lessons in his junior year of high school, thanks to a Cadence Music scholarship. For Jay, music quickly became more than a skill, it became a way to express who he truly is.
With each lesson, his confidence blossomed. He stepped into the spotlight with courage, performing solos in his school choir and taking on lead roles in two school musicals, milestones that once felt out of reach.
Now studying Film Studies in college, Jay continues to carry music with him as a powerful form of self-expression and creativity.
“I’m so thankful to Cadence Music for allowing me to receive this scholarship. Without them, I don’t think I would be where I am today.” — Jay
Jay’s story reminds us that music has the power to unlock confidence, creativity, and connection, and that its impact extends far beyond the stage.
